I bought this board as a second choice to the one I wanted (sold out). I was going to wait until next year to make a purchase, man I am glad I didn't.
My previous board was an old 2010s 662 Arcel that had served me well for many years. I live out on the east coast and my closest beach is not known for its waves. So, I have not been consistent about getting down to ride over the years. This year I have made more of an effort, but the old 662 was beat up, starting to delaminate, etc.
I bought this one and the difference is insane. The double-stringer allows me to take the meager waves I get and really try to turn them into something. This thing is so much faster and responsive. It weighs less than my old board which I though wouldn't matter much, but it does. Even without fins I can catch waves better than I used to.
I am not a great bodyboarder by any means. But if you are looking for a board that might just make you get out for a few more trips to the beach, this is it.

These are amazing. I bought them for my nephew who is 11 years old. He was getting ankle sores from the fins rubbing. He would also loose his fins while bodyboarding. These pads help reduce irritation and also keep his fins secure to his feet. I am going to purchase a set for myself because they are superior from what I currently use!!!

Absolutely satisfied with the maneuverability and glide of this board. The midnight blue deck and mallard green slick doesn’t hurt the aesthetic either.

Board is great, but the service I got at 662 was next level.Took my son in to get a new body board and I am pretty sure they pulled out every board they had and walked him though the pro's and con's of each one and walked out of there with a huge smile on his face.
Been riding the botha hammer for a bit now...the contours are a nice touch...but what i love most is that the word HAMMER is embossed in the nose like a freakin boss! Nah...super fast board...great control in all sizes of surf....and the blue deck with the white slick!! Cmon now...it a bootiful board yessah!! 🌊🌊💪💪🤙🤙🤟🤟
